Information

Information (shortened as info) is that which informs. In other words, it is the answer to a question of some kind. It is also that from which data and knowledge can be derived, as data represents values attributed to parameters, and knowledge signifies understanding of real things or abstract concepts. As it regards data, the information's existence is not necessarily coupled to an observer (it exists beyond an event horizon, for example), while in the case of knowledge, the information requires a cognitive observer.

At its most fundamental, information is any propagation of cause and effect within a system. Information is conveyed either as the content of a message or through direct or indirect observation of some thing. That which is perceived can be construed as a message in its own right, and in that sense, information is always conveyed as the content of a message.

Information can be encoded into various forms for transmission and interpretation (for example, information may be encoded into a sequence of signs, or transmitted via a sequence of signals). It can also be encrypted for safe storage and communication.

Classified (rapper)

Luke Boyd (born December 13, 1977), better known by his stage name Classified, is a Canadian recording artist and producer from Enfield, Nova Scotia.

Life and career

Music career

Classified attended Hants East Rural High School in Milford Station, Nova Scotia. He started his own production label, Half Life Records, and released his first full-length LP called Time's Up, Kid, in 1995. After years of working on music and sorting through label contracts, Classified produced, recorded and released his ninth album, Trial & Error, and signed a nationwide distribution deal with Toronto-based, URBNET Records. Containing collaborations with up-and-coming Canadian artists like Eternia and DL Incognito, as well as Canadian rap veteran, Maestro, the album was one of the highest selling independent rap albums in Canada in 2004.

In addition to the release of Trial & Error, 2003 and 2004 were busy years for Classified. With the continuous support of VideoFACT, he was able to release two additional music videos for the singles "Just the Way It Is" and "Unexpected". Classified also continued to master his production skills and joined forces with some of Canada's most prominent emcees, including Choclair and Maestro Fresh Wes. He also teamed up with Shady Records recording artist, Royce da 5'9" and opened for Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Busta Rhymes, The Game, Nelly, MC Grizzly, Captain Capota, Nas, The Black Eyed Peas and Black Moon.

Dagbladet Information

Information (Danish pronunciation: [enfɒmæˈɕoːˀn]), full name: Dagbladet Information ([ˈdɑʊ̯ˌblæˀð enfɒmæˈɕoːˀn]), is a Danish newspaper published Monday through Saturday.

History and profile

Dagbladet Information was established and published by the Danish resistance movement in 1943 during World War II. The paper was edited by Børge Outze and was illegal during the war as it was not regulated by the German occupying power. Following the liberation on 5 May 1945 Dagbladet Information was a reality and was officially founded in August 1945. Outze continued to work as the paper's editor in chief to his death in 1980. It has its headquarters in Copenhagen.

Dagbladet Information is the youngest still-surviving newspaper in Denmark and remains independent of the larger publishing houses. The paper is owned by A/S Information and is published by Aktiengesellschaft A/S Dagbladet Information from Monday to Saturday. It is based in Copenhagen.

In the 1970s Dagbladet Information was one of the alternative media together with Politisk Revy in Denmark and covered all dimensions of new social movements.

¿¡Revolución!?

¿¡Revolución!? is a 2006 political documentary directed by Quebec journalist and filmmaker Charles Gervais. It examines the Bolivarian Revolution led by Venezuelan President Hugo Chávez. It was produced by Télé-Québec, the Quebec government's public television network.

As part of the Rencontres internationales du documentaire de Montréal film festival, first screenings occurred on November 10 and 14, 2006 at the Cinéma ONF in Montreal. The general opening happened on December 8, 2006, at Cinéma Ex-Centris, also in Montreal. This version showed the original Spanish spoken by the subjects, as well as narration and subtitles in French.

Production

In April 2005, director Charles Gervais heard of the news that Hugo Chávez decided to distribute one million free copies of major 17th century Spanish novel Don Quixote de la Mancha to Venezuelan citizens. This gave him the inspiration to fly to Venezuela and examine from within this "revolution" in the making. Also, after filming the medium-length documentary Quand la vie est un rêve on the Haitian youth, Gervais wished to focus on something more positive.

Revolution (B-Boy Anthem)

"Revolution (B-Boy Anthem)" is a single by Oakland Hip Hop group Zion I, released in 2000 through Ground Control Records. "Revolution" was the opening track and the lead single for the group's debut album Mind Over Matter, and also spawned the group's first music video. The single features two remixes of the song, the "Armageddon Mix" and the "Dirty Dirty Mix".

Revolution (cycling series)

Revolution is a series of track cycling events primarily held at the Manchester Velodrome in the north west of England. It was solely held in Manchester between 2003 and 2012. From Season 10 (2012-2013) meetings have been held additionally at the new UK velodromes; in the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome, Glasgow, the Olympic Velodrome, London from Season 11 (2013-2014) and the Derby Arena from 2015-16.

The series comprises four or five meetings each year, held between October and February, on Saturday evenings. The series showcases various top cyclists, both British and other international riders, regularly attracting a large number of spectators. The recent success of the British team, including Chris Hoy's triple Gold at the 2008 Summer Olympics and double Gold winning performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics has meant that the events now regularly sell out in advance.

Concept

The series was founded in 2003, with the main aim of providing regular track cycling events for fans to attend in Manchester. Previously, track cycling fans were generally only able to attend one international event in Manchester each year, usually a round of the UCI Track Cycling World Cup Classics series, or as in 2000, the UCI Track Cycling World Championships. The only other events held regularly at the velodrome were events such as the British National Track Championships, which have a lower profile and therefore attracted smaller crowds.
